82% of respondents know why registration of e-tickets is necessary
The results of the survey published at www.rigassatiksme.lv in April show that 82% of the website users know why all passengers have to register their e-tickets.
When asked "Do you know why everybody has to register his/her trip?" 4% answered that the number of registered e-tickets enables precise accounting of passengers, 2% answered that it helps the public transport traffic to be organised in line with the demand, 1% said that it helps to measure passenger flows and 1% answered that it helps to provide vehicles of the necessary capacity. 10% of the answers evidenced that these respondents did not take interest in the reasons why the e-ticket registration is compulsory. 1113 answers were received during the survey.
In March "Rīgas satiksme" launched a new information campaign to remind why everybody has to register his/her trip, including those who use monthly tickets or enjoy the 100 % fare discount. Information materials about why all passengers have to register their trips are placed in public transport vehicles and at public transport stops.
